Day Tripper /ˈdāˌtripər/ noun: a person who goes on a journey or excursion, especially for pleasure, that is completed in one day.
Is your teen interested in exploring the rugged vastness of the White Mountains, but not especially keen on carrying the weight of an overnight backpack? This Teen day tripping expedition is designed with them in mind! Sometimes it’s nice to just carry what you need for the day. On this trip, we will establish a “base camp” from which we will stage a different outing each day and to which we will return each night. Less time setting up and breaking camp means more time for us to spend tramping through the wild country of the Eastern White Mountains: scrambling up rocky peaks, navigating with map and compass, and seeking out that perfect swimming hole to cool off. In the evenings, we’ll gather ‘round the campfire to cook, play games, and share stories of the day. Traveling light will allow us to cover a lot of ground in five days: hiking old favorites and exploring new ones, making this a perfect expedition for newcomers and old hands alike.
