Program Summary:

Did you know that, in addition to being skilled naturalists, our White Pine staff are talented birders? Spend a morning with your family stepping out of the forest and onto our neighboring ocean habitat. This is a great opportunity to check out our marine neighbors, birds who call the ocean home and learn how they live their lives. Come and enjoy a day on the water!

Program Objectives:

  • Deepen your connection to ocean life
  • Enrich understanding of wildlife and bird strategies for living out on the ocean
  • Gain insight into the the natural history of seabirds and marine mammals
  • Enjoy a day out on a Whale Watching Vessel!

Program Descriptions:

We will be on the Granite State Whale Watch Vessel for the morning looking for ocean life. Come use your naturalist skills to see what we can find! Naturalists aboard the boat will help us with our whale ID, bird ID, and help up learn more about the lives of these creatures. It can also be a great opportunity to tap into our senses as we move about the water. Smell the fresh air, and gaze upon the vast open expanse of the water.

All programs this winter will follow White Pine’s COVID-19 protocols, which can be found at https://whitepineprograms.org/covid-19/.
