Supported by caring mentors, Wildwood Ways is a week of deep nature connection and personal growth. We navigate daily challenges, push edges, learn from the forest, make and tend fires, gain primitive skills, practice observation and stealth, and learn to tell our own story.  Thursday night we will gather at our wilderness campsite for food, songs, storytelling, games, and forging friendships.  While building community, we uncover the mysteries within ourselves and within the earth.

In this specialty program, we form a tight knit community of nature apprentices while being guided by caring mentors. We forge strong friendships with each other and with the earth. The forest fuels our projects as we create tools, carve, and weave with wild materials. We deepen our relationship with fire and explore the forgotten skills that allowed people to live and thrive in the forest for thousands of years. At the end of the two weeks, we will gather at our wilderness outpost for an overnight adventure to celebrate our new found skills and sense of place.

Forest Dwellers

Co-Ed Ages 12-15
*must be 12 by August 31, 2021

Building on the foundational elements of White Pine summer camp, Forest Dwellers provides youth ages 12-15 an immersive opportunity to deepen our relationship with each other and connect with the living Earth.  Following a day of orientation, preparation, and introductions, we will gather on Tuesday morning to make the forest our home.  Away from distractions, we will spend the week honing our wilderness skills, cooking our own food, working on primitive crafts, and navigating personal and group challenges while being supported by caring mentors.  At night we will gather around the fire to share wisdom and tell our stories of adventure and discovery.
