Alex (she/her) was born in southern California, but since age 10, has spent the summers frolicking through the mountains and lakes of New Hampshire at a small all girl’s camp.
In 2015, Alex attended the High Mountain Institute in Leadville, CO and it was there she discovered her love of community building, backpacking, and experiential education.
Alex graduated from Skidmore College in 2022 with a degree in Integrative Biology with interests in ornithology, fieldwork, early childhood education, photography, and large animal veterinary science. She completed a short documentary film based on her favorite book, Braiding Sweetgrass.
She has spent lots of time adventuring far and wide; from a 10-week research trip in the bush of Madagascar to farm work in Switzerland, Belize, southeast Asia and beyond, her love of immersive international travel runs deep. She recently spent a week living alongside a hunter-gatherer tribe in Tanzania.
Alex is now in her third year as a Wilderness Leadership Program Head with Camp Onaway and is very excited to join the team at White Pine Programs!
She’d love to collaborate on kombucha recipes, attend ecstatic dance parties, and summit some snowy peaks.
