Althea Laprey

Life-long Piney, Althea recently discovered her love for teaching when returning to White Pine in Fall 2020 after COVID had paused her schooling endeavors. She is currently obtaining a BA in Environmental Planning and Policy  at the University of Southern Maine, with plans for a Masters in Environmental Education. WPP has inspired a change of career plans, as she has found her passions through nature connection. She enjoys gardening, herbalism, hiking, birding, and aimlessly wandering through the forest searching for treasures. Being a part of the community for 15 years, White Pine has made Althea the person she is today, instilling deep respect and appreciation for nature in her from a very young age. Althea is dedicated to passing that respect and appreciation to the next generation of Piney’s.
