Program Description
Join us for an Afternoon of Exploration with White Pine Programs! Your child(ren) will learn about themselves, each other, and nature through engaging nature-based learning opportunities that explore “Wild Play,” naturalist & bushcraft skills, environmental stewardship, and nature-connection through a restorative lens.
Program Objectives
- Encourage curiosity, have fun, and learn!
- Further develop a sense of self and community.
- Further connection to nature.
- Understand environmental stewardship and participate in a community stewardship project that relates to: the land/earth.
York Nature Club
Location: Coastal Ridge Elementary School, 1 Coastal Ridge Dr, York, ME
Time: Mondays from 3:00 till 5pm
Grades: K – 4
Winter Dates: Jan 10, 24, 31, Feb 7, 14, 28, March 7, 14
Spring Dates: March 21, 28, Apr 4, 11, 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, June 6 -make up date 6/13
Please note: You do not need to be enrolled in Coastal Ridge Elementary School to participate in the York Wild Child program. All are welcome!! Fifth graders can take the late bus from York Middle School to CRES or be dropped off at 3 pm by a parent.
Dondero School Nature Club
Location: Dondero School, 32 Van Buren Ave, Portsmouth, NH
Time: Wednesdays from 2:30 – 4:30 pm
Grades: K– 5th
Winter Dates: Jan 12, 19, 26, Feb 2, 9, 16, Mch 2, 9, 16, 23,
*note:(12pm -4:30pm, teacher in service days)
Spring Dates: March 30, Apr 6, 13, 20, May 4, 11, 18, 25, June 1, 8
Please note: You do not need to be enrolled in the Dondero School to participate in the Dondero Wild Child program. All are welcome!!
ALSO note: For Dondero students only: after program transportation options include: the late bus, individual pick up at the school & drop off at PEAK
Kittery Nature Club
Location: Kittery Community Center, 120 Rogers Rd Kittery, ME
Please note: In partnership with Kittery Community Center, White Pine Programs will continue to provide nature based programming. Please enroll in Traveling Forest Camp through KCC’s S.A.F.E. program.
