I began White Pine in 2015 as a student in the Ways of the Wild program. I have always loved being outside exploring the woods of Maine over the years with my instructors and fellow students, many of them are still my closest friends. Some of my favorite things to do in the woods are exploring, making friction fires and building weather-proof debris shelters. My amazing thing about exploring is that there is always something to learn whether it’s about the environment around you, nature, or yourself. I also really enjoy carving, especially spoons and, of course, gnomes! Much of who I am today has been deeply influenced by my time at White Pine. I love having the opportunity to share it!
