Homesite Needs
Must Haves
- 25-50 Acres OR 5-10 acres that abut conserved lands
- At least some variation in topography (wetlands, boulders, tree cover, open spaces)
- Parking for 10-15 cars
- Location & permission for a wall tent or yurt (semi-permanent structure)
- Location & permission for shelters, benches, tables, and other small structures in the woods
- Ability to have fire pits and fires
- Either a location for a rented portable toilet or a composting toilet
- Either existence of or ability to build a storage building, minimum of 15′ x 10′
- Zoning for business or schools
- Location on either a private OR a busy road where traffic will not bother neighbors
- “Off-trail” exploration permissible
